Unacceptable Behavior Policy and Directive

Re; Adult and Player Behavior

1. At any South Lake Basketball event, practice or competition, any adult or player who:

    1. Verbally abuses.
    2. Attempts to intimidate.
    3. Is flagrantly rude.
    4. Cannot control their language or actions with an official, player, coach, or South Lake Basketball League volunteer.
    5. Smells of alcohol or seems impaired.

Will be asked to leave the South Lake Basketball League event immediately. He or she will receive a written warning regarding their behavior. His or her child(ren) or Player will be immediately removed from that current South Lake Basketball League event.

2. Any adult or Player that commits a second similar offense will be banned from South Lake Basketball League events for the remainder of that season / program and their child(ren) or player removed from South Lake Basketball League for the remainder of that season. South Lake Basketball League will refund registration monies pro-rated based on the percentage of the season remaining and equipment furnished.

3. Any adult or player who physically assaults an official, a coach, referee, director, facility manager, scorekeeper, clock keeper or any South Lake Basketball League volunteer or player will be banned from South Lake Basketball League and their child removed from all South Lake Basketball League programs for one year from the date of the offense. After one year, the parent may apply for re-instatement of his or her child. If the adult or player commits a second offense, he or she will be permanently banned from South Lake Basketball League and the child(ren) of the adult permanently placed on South Lake Basketball League's ineligibility list.

 

The term physical assault includes, but is not limited to: hitting, slapping, pushing, spitting, kicking or striking in any way with any part of the body or any physical implement.
