What started to look like a possible runaway football game on the initial kick-off for Lake Mary was anything but that by the third quarter!!! With the Mitey Mite Eagles down by 24-8 in the third quarter our team began to show their strength on offensive and defense. Michael Sampson making some key short yardage gains for important first downs. The blue offense moved the ball consistently on the ground. Spencer Jordan making some good tackles at defensive end and Shelton Rice scoring a touchdown to make the score 24-14. Gabriel then kicked the extra point to bring the score to 24-16. The "Mitey Mite Eagles" were coming alive!

Zack McGregor stripped the ball to cause a Lake Mary fumble and set up the Eagles most impressive drive of the season. The Eagles offense marched the ball down the field to set up an emotional touchdown for Gabriel Negrete and the team. Gabriel once again made good on the extra point kick to tie the ball game 24-24!!!

I heard a parent say on the way out of the stadium that evening that they would have paid to see a ball game like that-(it’s great to have parental support like that for our kids).

The boys on this team all played with a desire and will to win!!! -but most
