Hi Future Cheerleaders!
I am so excited about our brand new league, New Lake football and cheerleading. For our very first year, we are going to be the Eagles and our colors are blue and white. During this season, the players and cheerleaders will be voting on a new team and new colors. But, this year we are the MIGHTY EAGLES!!!
Your application fee will cover your uniform and physical (which will be taken in the summer). On our own, we are responsible for shoes, bloomers and socks. But, to offset the cost, we will be doing some great fundraisers!
Our games will be on Saturdays, and our home games will be played at Gray Middle School in Groveland. We will have 6 away games to Eustis, Metro West, N. Osceola, Deland, Kissimmee, and Mt. Dora. Practice will start over the summer, and I will be in touch regularly until then. I will also be posting more letters frequently, as we get more sign-ups. The next sign-up is Saturday, 2/29 at South Lake High School from 10am-4.
MOMS:
If you are interested in being a team mom, or even a coach, please email me
for more details :
cheerlady@southlakerec.org.We are also still accepting sponsors, so if you have ideas on that, let me know. If your company would like to sponsor a squad, their names will be on the back of the football jersey’s, plus other extras. I can email you a sponsorship letter and price list for the different levels of sponsorship.
We are getting tremendous positive feedback from our community and looking forward to working with our community to make this season a wonderful family experience that will be wonderful memories for everyone involved. If there is any area that you might be able to be involved, please do not hesitate to let myself or another board member know. We are a new team, so we need as much parent involvement as possible. The more parent involvement, the better positive outcome for our NEW LAKE CHEERLEADERS AND FOOTBALL PLAYERS!!!
GOOOOOO EAGLES!!
P.S. All my cheerleaders have a homework assignment, due by the first practice.....STUDY FOOTBALL! :o) We have to understand what we are cheering for! Also, start stretching out everyday. Cheerleading is a sport, so you need to take care of your muscles. Drink LOTS of water, and make sure you have a thermos of water at practices!
I’m looking forward to meeting you all, and I will be in touch soon!
